Hillary Clinton is winning the popular vote, but losing the electoral college. There is nothing we can do to change that now. But we can start trying to prevent this antiquated anti-democratic system from ever fucking over the plurality again. I've not been able to sleep, so a long post is beyond my ability right now. But here is what else needs to be done.
Abolish caucuses. No political party should allow a nomination system that discourages turnout.
Make Election Day a holiday in your state, community, and/or workplace.
We need a constitutional amendment to impose campaign finance reform. No more Super PACs, no more dark money. Even Trump claims to agree with this one.
Protect your fellow human beings from violence and authoritarian abuse.
Every case of voter suppression must be prosecuted. Our only hope now is to make Anthony Kennedy change his mind by witnessing the fallout of his destruction of the VRA.
